JOB TITLE: Front Desk

SUMMARY: Serves as initial contact for all callers and visitors to the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Properly registered patients in the system with accurate demographic and insurance information.

• Ensure that every patient’s insurance is active.

• Process patient Co-pays.

• Patient’s insurance must be verified prior to the office visit.

• Responsible for scheduling patient appointments in our system and informing patients if referrals or authorization are required for the visit.

• Verify insurance billing address and make sure the correct insurance is chosen in the patient’s chart

• Confirms patient’s appointments and sends text messages days prior to the visit.

• Answering incoming calls using the assigned telephone script in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

• Assist patients with inquiries or concerns and ensure patients’ expectations are met.

• Conducts all activities in a professional, polite, and courteous manner and abides by company policies and procedures.

• Assist with sorting faxes.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.
