Job Description
Job title: Corporate Communications Specialist
Team: Marketing
Reports to: Director of Communications
Location: Buena Park, California
Job type: Full time
Position Overview
TOUS les JOURS is seeking a skilled writer and organized communications generalist to support corporate, franchisee, employee, executive, and customer experience communications. Reporting directly to the Director of Communications within the Marketing Team, this role turns business priorities and customer insights into clear, useful messaging for the people who need it.
The specialist will manage communications projects from draft through approval and delivery, support leadership meetings and franchisee engagement, and partner with the customer experience team on proactive messaging and sensitive issues. The right person is comfortable switching between a leadership presentation, a franchisee update, an employee announcement, and a customer-facing FAQ while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate and Executive Communications
• Draft and edit executive talking points, presentations, leadership updates, internal announcements, FAQs, and other materials for corporate employees and franchise partners.
• Support CEO and senior leadership communications, town halls, system webcasts, business reviews, and franchisee meetings by preparing messages, coordinating inputs, and managing follow-up materials.
• Translate operational changes, growth initiatives, and cross-functional updates into audience-focused messages that explain what is changing and what action is needed.
• Maintain communications calendars, distribution lists, templates, and approval workflows; publish through email, webcast, and other internal or franchisee channels
Customer Care Communications
• Draft and refine customer response templates, FAQs, service updates, surveys, and follow-up communications in a warm, accurate brand voice.
• Summarize customer feedback and recurring themes for leadership materials and help develop proactive communications that address common questions or service gaps.
• Support the Director of Communications with messaging for sensitive customer issues, including internal talking points, coordinated customer responses, and reputation monitoring.
• Coordinate message reviews with Operations, Quality, Legal, and Marketing when a customer issue needs cross-functional input; track approvals and final language.
Communications Operations and Collaboration
• Manage assigned projects and event communications, including conference updates, registration messages, speaker briefs, agendas, and post-event follow-up.
• Proofread and quality-check communications for factual accuracy, accessibility, consistency, and timing before distribution.
• Monitor engagement and feedback, prepare simple performance summaries, and recommend ways to improve content and channels.
• Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and other partners to gather facts and deliver approved communications on time.
Qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, customer communications, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; ability to adapt tone and level of detail for executives, employees, franchise partners, and customers.
• Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and review cycles with careful attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; familiarity with email platforms, surveys, webinar tools, or customer service systems is helpful.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information, sensitive customer matters, and rapidly developing issues.
• Korean language proficiency preferred, but not required, to support communication with Korean-speaking stakeholders.
