Job Description
The Radiation Oncology Lead RN provides direct patient care while serving as the lead for Radiation Oncology clinic operations. Working collaboratively with the Radiation Oncologist, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, this position ensures safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout consultation, treatment, survivorship, and follow-up periods. The Lead RN functions as a clinical resource and liaison for patients, providers, and staff while coordinating daily workflow and supporting departmental goals. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, care coordination, staff support, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and implementation of departmental initiatives. The Lead RN promotes a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and adherence to organizational standards. This role assists the Director of Oncology Services with departmental projects, staff development, service growth, and strategic initiatives.
Licenses:
MO RN License in good standing - required
BLS within 30 days of hire - required
Experience:
1-3 years of experience - preferred
