Senior Associate IC Investment Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Associate IC Investment Operations based in Canada.

This role provides operational support for investment activities, products, and services across a complex financial-services environment. You’ll help ensure transactions and operational processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and aligned with established risk controls. The position combines data management, reporting, problem-solving, stakeholder service, and process execution. You’ll work with internal and external partners to resolve issues, respond to requests, and maintain high service standards. As a senior team member, you may also support less experienced colleagues and contribute to process improvements. This is an opportunity to strengthen investment operations expertise while helping maintain reliable and well-controlled business outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Provide operational support for investment functions, products, and services, ensuring activities are completed accurately and in accordance with established controls, procedures, and service-level agreements.
  • Process service requests, transactions, inquiries, and other operational activities within defined timelines and quality standards.
  • Collect, organize, validate, and format data to produce recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and other business information.
  • Verify and reconcile information and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder questions with accurate, timely, and informed guidance while maintaining strong service relationships.
  • Identify, investigate, and analyze operational issues, resolving them promptly or escalating them through the appropriate channels when required.
  • Analyze data and operational information to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Support change initiatives involving new processes, systems, enhancements, and operational improvements, with a focus on effective implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives and maintain effective service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, operational risks, and controls to protect business and client interests.
  • Support the creation and enhancement of operational tools, training materials, workflows, and procedures that improve consistency and business outcomes.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues by helping troubleshoot complex requests, escalations, and operational challenges.
  • Perform complex and varied tasks within established guidelines, exercising sound judgment when determining appropriate actions and escalation paths.
  • Apply risk-informed decision-making practices to protect assets, maintain operational integrity, and comply with applicable policies, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Typically 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, combined with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant investment products, services, operational processes, systems, and controls.
  • Familiarity with applicable business risks, regulatory requirements, and operational control frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency with relevant technology and business tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate issues, assess information, and determine effective next steps.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, transactions, and deadlines effectively.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and professional information to a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to establish productive relationships across internal and external teams.
  • Customer-service orientation and a commitment to delivering accurate, responsive, and consistent support.
  • Ability to work independently within established guidelines while exercising sound judgment when handling complex or escalated matters.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, completeness, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and specialized operational knowledge quickly.
