Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN in Conway, Arkansas at Klaasmeyer Construction Company Inc
Job Description
Serving Arkansas with excellence for over 50 years, Klaasmeyer Construction Company is looking for our next Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Home Health team. In this position, you will conduct independent patient assessments, develop and manage individualized care plans, deliver skilled nursing treatments, supervise LPN staff, and provide the compassionate, high-quality care that our patients and families depend on.
Requirements:What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting comprehensive independent nursing assessments and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
- Administering medications, IV therapies, injections, and skilled nursing treatments per physician orders
- Monitoring patient condition — vital signs, lab values, clinical indicators — and responding independently when changes occur
- Supervising and directing LPN staff and home health personnel assigned to your patients
- Educating patients and families on disease management, medications, care plans, and preventive health
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe home environment
- Transporting patients to medical appointments using a company vehicle when needed, and maintaining complete, accurate, and timely patient documentation in compliance with applicable regulations
What We Need From You
- Current, valid Arkansas RN license in good standing — NCLEX-RN passage required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior home health experience strongly preferred; med-surg, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience considered
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record — company vehicle provided for patient transport
- Ability to work independently in a home environment with varying patient acuity and family dynamics
- Strong clinical documentation skills and working knowledge of home health regulations
- Dependability — your patients, families, and LPN teammates count on you
The Physical Reality
This is a hands-on clinical role in patients' homes — not a hospital unit. You'll adapt to a wide range of home environments, patient acuity levels, and family circumstances, and you'll need physical stamina to provide direct care and assist with patient mobility.
- Regularly standing, walking, and moving in patient home environments
- Assisting patients with transfers, repositioning, and mobility — up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
- Periodic driving of a company vehicle for patient transport
- Exposure to communicable illness risks — appropriate PPE required and provided
- Flexible scheduling including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing per company policy
