Closing date and how to apply: [To be confirmed by HR]About the roleWatu is looking for a Dealer & Field Sales Training Lead to make sure new dealerships, their owners and their field officers can run our sales process correctly from day one. You will teach each step of the sale, including the handoffs to other departments, and spend most of your time in the field seeing how sales happen and turning what you see into practical improvements.What you will do

• Deliver onboarding training to dealership owners, managers and field officers.
• Teach the sale from start to finish, including when and how to involve other departments.
• Spend three days a week in the field, observing how field officers sell and talk to customers.
• Turn your observations into recommendations for the Sales Manager and senior business development leadership.
• Design and update training content and job aids based on the gaps you find.
• Track training results and report on what is working.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience in sales training, field-sales development or dealer and channel enablement. Experience in asset finance, device financing, microfinance or fintech is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience observing and coaching sales agents in the field.
• Strong facilitation skills, comfortable training groups in person and remotely.
• Ability to design practical training content.
• Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in English. Other South African languages used by dealers and field teams are a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel regularly across South Africa.
• Clear, honest communication and the confidence to challenge poor performance respectfully.

Working conditionsTwo days a week in the office and three days a week in the field, with regular travel to dealer sites across South Africa, including some weekends where required.
