You'll play an important role in strengthening existing safety systems, improving processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping protect our people, facilities, and operations.

We welcome candidates with backgrounds in process safety engineering, chemical manufacturing, and hands-on PSM leadership. We value demonstrated technical expertise, practical experience, and the ability to drive results.

What You'll Do

Process Safety Management & Compliance

  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the facility's Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
  • Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP studies, and ensure identified action items are addressed.
  • Strengthen Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure changes are appropriately evaluated, documented, communicated, and implemented.
  • Maintain and improve Process Safety Information (PSI), operating procedures, and other critical PSM documentation.
  • Support compliance with OSHA PSM requirements, EPA Risk Management Program (RMP), and applicable industry standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve facility safety, environmental, PSM, and security management systems.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development to prevent recurrence.
  • Identify potential process safety risks and work collaboratively to implement effective engineering, administrative, and personal protective equipment (PPE) controls.
  • Conduct or participate in compliance audits, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Monitor process safety performance and support initiatives that strengthen safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance related to chemical handling, including flammable liquids, hydrogen fluoride (HF), combustible dust, compressed air systems, and other applicable process hazards.

Collaboration & EHS Support

  • Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and EHS teams to strengthen process safety performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support on PSM requirements, safe operating practices, and risk management.
  • Support compliance with applicable environmental requirements, including air, water, and remediation activities.
  • Assist with facility security vulnerability assessments, emergency preparedness, and regulatory inspections.
  • Represent Halocarbon in applicable industry, regulatory, and community activities.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours assistance during emergencies as needed.
