Senior Bookkeeper -Global

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper - Global based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations within a growing, multi-entity organization.
You will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger activities while supporting sound financial decision-making.
The position requires strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, taxation, and full-cycle accounting processes.
You will work across multiple legal entities, helping strengthen accounting controls, streamline processes, and maintain reliable financial records.
The role also involves preparing financial statements, monitoring variances, coordinating year-end reporting, and supporting tax compliance activities.
You will collaborate with finance leadership and internal teams in a fast-paced environment where proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement are highly valued.
This is a fully remote opportunity suited to an experienced bookkeeping professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities.

Accountabilities:
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all financial transactions and ensure complete monthly financial reporting.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and accounting system entries.
  • Maintain the daily general ledger and reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Manage accounting operations, transaction processing, and financial controls across multiple legal entities.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and an organized digital filing system.
  • Ensure accounts payable are processed and paid on time while taking advantage of applicable invoice discounts.
  • Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Ensure company credit cards, loans, lines of credit, and other required debt payments are made on time.
  • Manage the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Calculate budget-to-actual variances and communicate significant issues to finance leadership and ownership.
  • Prepare and issue financial and operating metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Coordinate the preparation and compilation of year-end financial reporting and financial statements.
  • File and report applicable state sales and use taxes.
  • Monitor accounting controls and identify opportunities to reduce financial and operational risk.
  • Support proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement across accounting processes.
  • Stay current with changes in state and federal regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate financial information clearly and professionally.
  • Perform additional accounting and finance responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience managing accounting activities across multiple legal entities.
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting close processes.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Working knowledge of taxation and corporate structures.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements, reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of auditing, accounting operations, and corporate finance.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable accounting software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe, Windows, and DocuSign.
  • Experience with U.S. taxation and GAAP is required or strongly relevant to the role.
  • Banking or financial services experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, collaborative, and professional approach when managing competing priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, accountability, and organization.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with finance leadership and broader teams.
