Position: Information Security Analyst - UAS & Digital Aviation

Location: Budapest, Hungary

Note: This is full-time position with 40 hours per week, and requires at least 4 days per week to work from our office.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Assessment & Analysis

· Support security assessments for UAS, UTM/U-space, and Remote ID ecosystems.

· Assist in identifying cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and potential attack vectors affecting aviation systems.

· Perform basic risk analysis and contribute to cybersecurity documentation and reports.

· Support security assurance activities throughout the system lifecycle.

· Assist in evaluating cybersecurity controls against applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Threat Analysis & Risk Management

· Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats affecting UAS and digital aviation.

· Contribute to threat modelling exercises.

· Assist with cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation planning.

· Support incident analysis and lessons learned documentation.

· Participate in vulnerability tracking and security improvement initiatives.

Technical Support & Collaboration

· Support the identification of potential operational and security risks associated with Remote ID and UTM/U-space technologies.

· Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and recommendations related to UAS architecture, Remote ID, and secure system operations.

· Assist with technical testing, validation, and documentation.

· Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities.

· Stay informed of emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and aviation regulations.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards

· Assist in interpreting aviation cybersecurity regulations, guidance material, and industry standards.

· Support compliance activities related to:

o EASA regulations

o U-space framework

o Remote ID requirements

o Information security standards

o Aviation cybersecurity best practices

· Prepare technical documentation supporting certification, compliance, and regulatory submissions.

IT Operations & Secure Service Management

· Support the secure day-to-day operation of the company's IT infrastructure, applications, and user services.

· Provide first-line technical support while ensuring adherence to cybersecurity policies and security best practices.

· Coordinate user onboarding/offboarding, identity and access management, and endpoint provisioning.

· Assist with software deployment, system configuration, patch management, and software license administration.

· Maintain IT documentation, asset inventories, and knowledge base resources, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

· Support the implementation of security controls through routine operational activities and continuous improvement of IT processes.

Experience and Qualification

Required:

· Bachelor's degree (or final year of study) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

· 1-2 years of experience (including internships) in cybersecurity, IT, software engineering, or technical operations.

· Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including authentication, encryption, access control, secure communications, network security, vulnerability management.

· Knowledge of Windows, iOS and Linux operating systems, TCP/IP networking, PKI concepts, cybersecurity best practices.

· Ability to understand complex technical documentation.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

· Should have native level or C1 level proficiency in English language.

Preferred

· Knowledge of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

· Understanding of UTM / U-space, Remote ID (RID) , UAV communication systems, digital aviation ecosystems.

· Experience with threat modelling, cybersecurity risk assessment, security architecture, penetration testing concepts, vulnerability assessment.

· Knowledge of one or more cybersecurity standards or frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 21434, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800 series, OWASP, EASA cybersecurity guidance.

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) Interest in aviation regulations and emerging technologies
