Job Description
The Specialty Pharmacy Pharmacist delivers advanced, patient-centered clinical care and operational oversight for high-cost, high-touch medication therapies. This role manages complex, chronic, or rare disease states (e.g., oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis) requiring specialized handling, close monitoring, and intense financial navigation. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes, drive medication adherence, and ensure seamless delivery of medication to patients according to policies, accreditation standards, and State and Federal laws.
Education & Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a registered pharmacist; specialty pharmacy or clinical ambulatory care experience is highly preferred.
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency is preferred.
Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
