Job Description
About Noble Steakhouse
Noble Steakhouse is a new luxury steakhouse concept built around exceptional food, elevated hospitality, intentional detail, and a refined but energetic guest experience. Our goal is to establish Noble as a premier steakhouse destination while building a concept capable of thoughtful expansion into additional locations and markets.
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to play a critical leadership role in the opening, stabilization, growth, and long-term success of Noble Steakhouse.
This is a hands-on, onsite executive leadership position for someone who understands that exceptional hospitality is created through both vision and disciplined execution. The Vice President of Operations will help spearhead the opening and operation of our first Noble Steakhouse, establish the systems and standards that define the brand, develop a high-performing leadership team, and ultimately help lead the expansion of Noble into additional locations following the success of the flagship restaurant.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Operations will have overall responsibility for operational performance, guest experience, leadership development, financial accountability, and execution of Noble Steakhouse's brand standards.
During the opening and stabilization of the flagship location, this individual will be deeply involved in the restaurant's day-to-day operation. This is not an executive role designed to operate solely from an office. The right candidate will be highly visible in the restaurant, working alongside leadership and team members to ensure that Noble's standards are consistently executed.
As the concept grows, the role will evolve into broader multi-unit leadership, including helping evaluate new locations, developing scalable operating systems, supporting future openings, building leadership infrastructure, and ensuring that each Noble Steakhouse maintains the quality and experience established at the original location.
Key Responsibilities
Opening & Concept Leadership
- Serve as a key executive leader in the opening, launch, and stabilization of Noble Steakhouse.
- Partner with ownership and senior leadership to translate the Noble vision into consistent operational execution.
- Lead opening-readiness efforts across staffing, training, operating systems, service standards, purchasing, vendor coordination, and restaurant execution.
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly during pre-opening and opening periods.
- Establish operating procedures and standards that can ultimately be replicated across future Noble Steakhouse locations.
- Protect the integrity of the concept while continuously identifying opportunities to improve operations and the guest experience.
Restaurant Operations
- Provide executive oversight of all front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Maintain an active and highly visible presence in the restaurant, particularly during critical service periods.
- Work hands-on within the property as operational needs require, including supporting managers and team members during service, special events, high-volume periods, and restaurant openings.
- Ensure consistent execution of service, culinary, cleanliness, safety, presentation, and hospitality standards.
- Develop clear operating procedures, accountability systems, and performance expectations.
- Conduct regular operational reviews and ensure identified issues are followed through to resolution.
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to maintain alignment between the kitchen, service team, and overall guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health, safety, liquor, employment, and operational requirements.
- Maintain exceptional facility standards and ensure the physical restaurant consistently reflects the Noble brand.
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Establish and protect an uncompromising standard of hospitality throughout the organization.
- Ensure managers and team members understand not only service procedures, but the level of anticipation, personalization, professionalism, and attention to detail expected in a luxury steakhouse environment.
- Monitor guest feedback and operational trends and implement improvements when needed.
- Develop systems for recognizing VIPs, regular guests, special occasions, and opportunities to create memorable experiences.
- Lead by example when resolving elevated guest concerns and service-recovery situations.
- Build a culture in which exceptional hospitality is a daily operating expectation rather than an exception.
Financial & Business Performance
- Take ownership of restaurant-level operating performance and profitability.
- Develop, manage, and monitor operating budgets, forecasts, labor targets, cost controls, and other key financial metrics.
- Analyze P&L statements and operating results and develop action plans when performance falls outside expectations.
- Maintain disciplined labor management while protecting service standards and the guest experience.
- Partner with culinary leadership on food cost, purchasing, inventory management, waste reduction, and vendor performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability without compromising the quality or positioning of the brand.
- Establish and monitor KPIs that provide leadership with clear visibility into operational and financial performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain an exceptional restaurant leadership team.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability for managers and department leaders.
- Build a leadership culture centered on professionalism, ownership, communication, consistency, and results.
- Develop succession plans and identify high-potential leaders capable of supporting future Noble locations.
- Ensure management training is structured, consistent, and aligned with Noble's operating standards.
- Work closely with recruiting and corporate leadership to maintain appropriate staffing levels and build a strong talent pipeline.
- Address performance concerns promptly, professionally, and consistently.
- Create an environment in which high standards and employee development coexist.
Brand Growth & Future Expansion
A significant long-term responsibility of this position will be helping take Noble Steakhouse from a successful flagship restaurant to a scalable multi-location brand.
The Vice President of Operations will:
- Help develop the operational infrastructure required to successfully open additional Noble Steakhouse locations.
- Document and refine systems, standards, training programs, and operating procedures for replication.
- Participate in evaluating potential new locations from an operational perspective.
- Assist with pre-opening planning, staffing, training, procurement, and launch strategy for future restaurants.
- Help build the management structure necessary to support a growing multi-unit organization.
- Participate directly in future restaurant openings and stabilization periods.
- Ensure growth does not dilute the hospitality, culinary quality, attention to detail, or standards that define Noble Steakhouse.
- Serve as a key operational partner to ownership as the Noble brand evolves.
Qualifications
Required
- Significant senior-level restaurant operations leadership experience.
- Strong experience within fine dining, luxury hospitality, upscale steakhouse, or comparable high-service restaurant environments.
- Demonstrated success leading high-volume restaurant operations.
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L management, labor, COGS, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance metrics.
- Proven ability to recruit, lead, develop, and hold management teams accountable.
- Exceptional understanding of elevated service and luxury guest expectations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with exceptionally high standards.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite and maintain a meaningful presence during restaurant operations, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak service periods as business needs require.
- Ability to travel as needed for future Noble Steakhouse development and openings.
Strongly Preferred
- Previous experience as a Vice President of Operations, Regional/Director of Operations, Managing Partner, General Manager, or comparable senior leader within an established fine-dining or luxury restaurant organization.
- Steakhouse experience.
- Experience opening a high-end restaurant from pre-opening through stabilization.
- Multi-unit restaurant leadership experience.
- Experience developing operational systems for a growing or emerging restaurant concept.
- Experience opening additional locations and building scalable management and training structures.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This is an active, onsite restaurant leadership position. The Vice President of Operations is expected to work throughout the property and participate directly in restaurant operations as necessary. The position is not primarily a desk-based or remote executive role.
To perform the essential functions of this position, an employee must be able to, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time, including throughout restaurant service.
- Frequently move throughout all areas of the property, including dining rooms, bars, kitchens, storage areas, offices, stairs, and other operational spaces.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Bend, reach, stoop, crouch, and perform other physical movements reasonably required in a restaurant environment.
- Safely navigate stairs and move between multiple levels or areas of the property.
- Use hands and arms to handle, reach for, carry, and move restaurant supplies, equipment, and other materials.
- Work for extended periods in a fast-paced restaurant environment that may include moderate to high noise levels, crowded spaces, changing temperatures, and exposure to kitchen heat and food-service environments.
- Safely work in and around commercial kitchen, bar, dining, storage, and service areas.
- Communicate effectively with employees, guests, vendors, and leadership in person and in an active restaurant environment.
- Remain onsite and actively engaged for extended shifts when business needs require, particularly during openings, special events, holidays, and high-volume periods.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational. This person should be capable of discussing growth strategy, budgets, leadership structure, and future expansion with ownership—and then walking the restaurant floor that evening and immediately recognizing where service execution needs to improve.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds exceptionally high standards without losing sight of hospitality.
- Is comfortable being accountable for results.
- Leads from the floor rather than exclusively from an office.
- Understands the details required to operate an exceptional fine-dining restaurant.
- Develops strong managers rather than simply managing around them.
- Can create structure in a new organization without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Understands how to balance guest experience, employee experience, and financial performance.
- Wants the opportunity to help build a brand rather than simply inherit an established operating system.
- Is excited by the opportunity to make the first Noble Steakhouse successful and then help take the concept into its next stage of growth.
Compensation & Benefits
Noble Steakhouse offers a competitive executive compensation package that includes:
- Base salary of $110,000–$170,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
- Generous performance-based bonus program.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) retirement benefits.
- Paid time off.
- Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable Colorado law.
- Complimentary meal on scheduled workdays.
- Professional growth and advancement opportunities as Noble Steakhouse expands.
The posted salary range represents Noble Steakhouse's good-faith estimate of the base compensation it may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, leadership background, and demonstrated ability.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is an onsite leadership position based in Denver, Colorado. Regular onsite presence is an essential expectation of the role.
Restaurant operations require schedule flexibility, and the Vice President of Operations must be available as business needs dictate, including evenings, weekends, holidays, major events, openings, and other high-volume periods.
As Noble Steakhouse expands, travel may be required in connection with site development, pre-opening activities, training, and new restaurant openings.

Noble Steakhouse will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities as required by applicable law.
