Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
-
To serve as the Therapy Lead by being responsible for clinical standards of practice, staff competencies, patient care, continuing education for staff, productivity, staffing, participation in hiring and evaluation of clinical associates, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Provides clinical oversight, direction, and development of best practices

Assess clinical competencies
-
Coaches, counsels, & implements corrective action plans

DOCUMENTATION
-
Uses objective measurements appropriate to substantiate care

Completes documentation on the date of service

Interventions selected match treatment delivered & meet regulatory standards
-
Documentation substantiates charges selected
-
Documentation meets clinical policy & procedure guidelines (frequency, timeliness-daily notes, biannual summaries
-
& discharge instructions)
-
Reviews staff documentation for compliance with policies and procedures.

Effectively manages staffing schedules

Efficiently & effectively schedules patients

Completes operational budgets

Controls expenses and works towards financial targets

Embraces and implements new processes and techniques

Markets program and develops referrals.

COMPLIES WITH FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LEGAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Adheres to current standards

Guides professional conduct including the code of ethics and practice guidelines established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and discipline specific governing body

Provides appropriate supervision to assistants, therapy aides and students.

Works collaboratively with Program Director on performance improvement projects, patient outcomes and cost efficiencies.

Conducts and monitors discipline appropriate quality measures.

Researches and implements best practices

OVERSEES AND PARTICIPATES IN STUDENT, AIDE AND VOLUNTEER EDUCATION

Assigns students, aides and volunteers to staff

Monitors clinical experiences
-
Provides written feedback to students and clinical institutions
-
Develops ongoing clinical relationships with accredited institutions

QUALIFICATIONS
-

Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology required

Master's Degree preferred

Work Experience
-
3-5 years of experience in a clinical role preferred
-
Previous experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred
-
-
Licenses / Certifications
-
Clinical license in appropriate discipline required
-
