HIM Certified Coder (Remote Work Not Available) at Avera – Wagner, South Dakota

Starting rate of pay is $27.50 per hour,
additional compensation dependent on experience

The Health Information Management Certified Coder will be responsible for the daily coding and billing operations for the hospital. Performs medical records and other clerical duties as assigned. Will assist in all duties and responsibilities relating to patient coding, making sure they are conducted according to legal standards and department policy. Medical terminology and previous medical records experience is preferred.

American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Certification – CCA®, CCS®, or CCS-P®; American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certification – CPC®, CPB®, or CPC® + CPB®; or Critical Access Hospital Coding & Billing Specialist (CAH-CBS) certification is required.
