About This Position
This is a Hybrid Position with Nursing. 8- Hours/ week would be in IP + 12-Hour shifts in Nursing.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Quality and Infection Prevention Analyst will responsible for quality and infection prevention at Craig Hospital. This position will use their clinical knowledge to investigate infection cases, assist with quality improvement activities, and support regulatory compliance.
Position Requirements:
- Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Current Colorado RN license and current BLS for the Health Care Provider certification required. ACLS and specialty certification (CNRN or CRRN) preferred.
- Education: Graduate of a nursing program from an accredited college or university required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years clinical experience preferred.
- Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of nursing principles’, practices and procedures in neuro-science and acute med/surg in the rehabilitation setting strongly preferred. Excellent organization and customer service skills. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly while meeting established deadlines. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. Advanced team-building, conflict resolution, and communication skills, both verbal and written required. Work collaboratively with other departments and physicians. Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, dependability, and strong attention to detail both mechanically and technically. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position. General knowledge of extracting information from database systems and event report systems preferred. Possess above average problem-solving skills, judgment, and flexibility. Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications with advanced ability in Excel, Epic EMR.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Director of Infection Prevention in reviewing and analyzing audit and EMR data to identify actual and potential events and risk exposures that contribute to patient harm via health care associated infections.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and develop mitigation strategies based on current evidence and identified best practices.
- Provide investigative support (medical record and relevant document review, identification and interviews of involved parties)
- Conduct investigations assigned by and under the direction of the Director of Infection Prevention with a focus on process improvement to reduce risk of harm to patients, visitors, and employees.
- Conduct clinical investigations following infection events in the hospital by reviewing patient medical record, conducting staff interviews, etc.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing case review meetings, documenting action plans as developed, and monitoring action item implementation.
- Promote a culture of safety through the utilization of Just Culture and Patient Safety principles.
- Support regulatory compliance and readiness for clinical teams in the hospital through periodic audits of clinical documentation and the Environment of Care, and ensure the use and retention of infection prevention and quality management information meets established policies.
- Lead and assist with clinical quality improvement and infection prevention projects throughout the hospital.
- Collaborate with leadership in hospital to support quality and infection prevention research projects.
- Provide education to a diverse set of organizational staff.

Pay Range: $35.17/ Hour - $50.64/Hour
