The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. Our vision is for all new arrivals to be welcomed with equitable, high-quality services and resources so they can maximize their potential.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
As a Youth Care Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily care, supervision, and development of refugee and immigrant youth in a residential setting. You will:
Provide direct supervision and support to youth throughout their daily routines
Foster a nurturing, stable, and culturally responsive environment
Guide positive behavior and emotional growth
Ensure safety and well-being through structured activities and consistent supervision
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote healing and resilience
Help youth build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging
This role directly shapes a young person’s experience as they navigate transition, healing, and hope for a better future.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education and Background Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework or training in child welfare, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children or adolescents in a child welfare, residential, or behavioral health setting.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that meets organizational insurance requirements.
Must be able to pass all background checks successfully.
