Throughout the summer, you’ll have the chance to network and team-build with your intern cohort, participate in volunteer service opportunities, and contribute to projects that make a real impact.

The Role:
As a VDC Assistant Project Engineer Intern, you will:

  • Engage in architectural, structural, and MEP 3D modeling.
  • Perform post-processing of drone point clouds and 3D models.
  • Contribute to architectural visualization using virtual reality tools.
  • Participate in site logistics planning to optimize project efficiency.
  • Support the development of 4D scheduling to integrate time and resources with 3D models.

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capability to lead by example.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a self-starter mentality.
  • A strong work ethic with dedication to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to see the big picture while focusing on details.
  • Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software.
  • Must be able to work full-time.

What Really Makes You Stand Out:
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • BIM/VDC software like SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Navisworks, Fusion, and SolidWorks
  • Previous experience with BIM coordination, architectural design, or engineering design
  • Previous experience with GIS systems or drones
  • A passion for innovation and problem-solving.
  • Field experience with the installation of MEP systems

What We Offer You:
  • Autonomy: We empower our interns to make informed decisions and contribute to the success of their projects.
  • Career Development: We invest in your growth, providing tools and resources to help you achieve your professional goals.
  • Challenging Work: You’ll be involved in diverse projects that keep you engaged and continuously learning.

Join us at Granger Construction, where your internship is not just a stepping stone but a foundation for a successful career in construction.
