About This Position
Position Summary: The Business Analyst will work closely with Business Functions to understand and analyze how core business processes interact with the ERP systems for Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. Inc. and identifies key opportunities for improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partnerswith business users and project teams to collaborate on and deliver the right solutions for Rawlings as a whole.Participatesin strategy discussions to understand and capturehigh levelbusiness needs. Servesas a conduit between business,IT,and external partners.
- Experience providing technical oversightor managingsmall and / or low complexity IT projects.Createsaccurateestimates for schedules for project development andimplementation.Able to estimate individual projects with oversight.
- Providesbest practice recommendations to improve efficiency, reliability, performance, and functionality of processes and procedures.
- Facilitates meetings with business stakeholders to understand business requirements;demonstratesunderstanding of business needs and recommends design changes.
- Designsand testssolutions in coordination with development team and business representatives.
- Creates/documentsBusinessRequirements, As-Is/To-Be process flows, functional specifications, and other documentation asrequired.
- Document systems and their interdependencies:Maintaindesign documents to reflect changes introduced by new implementationsor support issues.
- Act as a liaison between end users and development teams, ensuring that solutions provided support business objectives and meets end users' needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end to end processing is effective and efficient.
- Drive the quality assurance process by assisting the business to translate business requirements and use cases into test plans and scenarios.
- Defines integration touchpoints between JD Edwards and other applications.
- Respondsto functional and technical issues, including troubleshooting, issuemanagementandinitiatesactions with technical support teams as needed.
- Prepare test data toassisttechnical resources to debug and troubleshoot issues.
- Research andsubmittickets toSoftware Vendors’support for problem and issue resolution.
- Managesprocess compliance asappropriate (e.g.,internal controls, regulatory requirements, other businessprocess, etc.) including development and delivery of documentation and training material.
- Adheresto standards in both new and existing software, including purchased packages and in-house development. Followsdepartmental policies and procedures as well as those for theoverallcompany.
- This position may require occasional travel.
- This position may requiresupport during non-working hours.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BA/BS in Information Technology or related field of study or equivalent related work experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with IT related systems/projectsusing a variety of tools and technology performing at an accomplished levelrequired.
- Business Analyst experience isrequired.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience configuring and supporting JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) versions 8.9-9.2.
- Detail-oriented, critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- ERP implementation experience in performing businessrequirement& fit-gap analysis, prototyping, system configuration, data conversion, integration testing, regressiontestingand user training & development.
- Strong functional knowledge in1+JDE E1modules(Distribution,Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement,Sales Operations). Create JDE versions and set processing options. Design Menus, UDO’s (Watchlists, Orchestrator solutions, Café1), BIP output, E1 Batch Application and E1 Interactive Applications.
- Experience withany of the following is a plus:Vertex, K-Rise, Canon,SQL, DSI,Varsity,3rdParty TMS solutions, labeling solutions.
- Experience creating functional specifications for RICEWFobjects,Visio ProcessFlowcharts, and Testing Use Cases.
- Ability toidentifysystem issues,determineroot causes, and providesolutionsas temporary workarounds and permanent fixes.
- Experience working with business to build trusted relationships with peers and with client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information with coaching effectively in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including Managers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
