About This Position

We are seeking an experienced Front Office Patient Coordinator in Waterville, ME, who will serve as the primary liaison between our patients and the Hearing Care Consultants. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating Patient Care: Our Front Office Patient Coordinators are responsible for greeting patients at our clinic upon arrival for their appointments. Additionally, they answer calls to the clinic, schedule new and follow-up appointments, and process insurance verifications on behalf of patients.
  • Managing the Clinic's Office Operations: The Front Office Patient Coordinator is responsible for completing administrative and financial reports, creating invoices, and ordering equipment and supplies on behalf of the clinic. Additionally, they ensure that the waiting area at the clinic remains clean and welcoming for patients and their families
  • Scheduling Patient Consultations: The Front Office Patient Coordinator supports the clinic in achieving its revenue target by ensuring new patients are efficiently scheduled for hearing consultations, and follows up proactively with existing patients regarding continued care and/or updated equipment.
  • Maintaining patient files and database: This role ensures that patient records are accurate, up to date, and that all notes are recorded according to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must be dependable, self-motivated, thrive in an independent work setting and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional experience desired includes:

  • Experienced with MS Word and MS Outlook
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized with multiple competing priorities
  • Familiarity with scheduling software for a service provider is preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance and/or medical billing processes is preferred

Compensation: $19.00 an hour, plus monthly incentives
