About This Position

Legacy Building Solutions is a leader in the design and construction of steel frame buildings. Our team is growing and in need of a General Laborer/Machine Operator to join our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Loading/unloading of materialsSteel processingWelding; GMAC, steel and aluminumAssists in the preparation of materials to be shipped to construction sitesConveys materials and items from receiving or production area to storage or other designated areasRecords amounts of materials or items received or distributedSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product codeForklift operation safely and responsiblyMachine Operation of robotic tube plasma and saw lineCleans work area, machines, tools and equipmentOperate power equipment, including power toolsPerform other duties as necessary

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GEDAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Needs to be mechanically inclined and with experience with using hand toolsPositive attitude and team playerEffective communication skills and ability to take directionAbility for cross training in other areas of the plant.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Work in extreme cold and heat; and/or wet and humid conditions
  • Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
