Hospice Volunteer at TOUCHSTONE HEALTH – San Antonio, Texas

We are seeking compassionate individuals to provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients and their families. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference while gaining experience in hospice and palliative care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Offer respite and support to families and caregivers
• Engage patients through conversation, reading, or presence
• Communicate observations to the care team as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Compassionate, empathetic, and dependable
• Comfortable with hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Emotional readiness to support patients and families
• Related experience or volunteer work preferred
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation

Note: It is recommended that applicants have not experienced the loss of an immediate family member within the past year.
