About This Position
The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more, with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Buildout Engineer to lead the transformation of newly constructed tunnels into fully operational transportation systems for the Music City Loop project. This role is responsible for taking tunnel structures from civil completion through final systems integration - delivering the infrastructure that brings the tunnel to life. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with a hands-on execution mindset and has experience coordinating complex infrastructure buildouts involving roadway systems, electrical distribution, fire/life safety systems, architectural finishes, and operational readiness. This role will work cross-functionally with design, construction, operations, and commissioning teams to ensure tunnels are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
