About This Position
Position Summary
Responsible for financial accounting functions for the HRCH/Captive entities including analysis and account reconciliation and the monthly preparation of financial statement packages. Responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and participation in the annual financial statement audit.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Prepare financial reporting package for Management and Board including narratives generated from Department Directors/Managers monthly variance reports and benchmark reports.
2. Verify accuracy of financial data, particularly reviewing expenses for accurate coding. Approve requests for payment, if necessary.
3. Prepare all required information for annual audits and assist auditors as needed.
4. Assist Department Directors/Managers in preparation of operating and capital budgets.
5. Review reconciliation of all assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate information and review and approve all journal entries for correct general ledger account application.
6. Review Directors/Managers variance reports for explanations and completeness, as appropriate, and assist them with financial information to enable them to manage their departments more effectively.
7. Review and analyze all new program requests and existing programs to gain a better knowledge of activities within the entities/practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related area
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

3-5 years of general accounting experience
License, Registry or Certification:

Preferred:
CPA preferred
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Knowledge of PC’s. Knowledge of general ledger and Medicare/Medicaid billing procedures.
