New Patient Scheduler in Williamsville, New York at RPCI Oncology PC

We are seeking a friendly and professional New Patient Scheduler to join our outpatient clinic in Williamsville, NY.

As the New Patient Scheduler you will provide assistance to the physician and the patients, which includes scheduling appointments for all providers, answering phones, preparing charts, and scanning documents into the EMR system. You must exhibit strong organizational skills and work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff and administration.

Responsibilities:

• Register new patients
• Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
• Send tasks to Medical Assistant informing them of appointments
• Maintain provider new patient blocks
• Send new patient paperwork to all new patients
• Scan/upload new patient charts upon scheduling
• Manage new patients scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and no -show appointments appropriately as advised by providers
• Obtain outside records for all new patients while working with outside doctors/hospitals when necessary

Education/Experience:

• Must have one year experience in medical office
• Must have one year experience patient scheduling
• Prio strong EMR experience required; Medent preferred.
• Must have customer service experience in an office, preferably with patients
• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
