The Staff Pediatric Occupational Therapist performs the duties with competence in skills and professionalism treating a variety of ages including pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients. TheStaff Pediatric Occupational Therapist actively participates in the growth and development of their department including quality management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • The Pediatric Occupational Therapist performs the duties with competence in skills and professionalism treating a variety of ages including pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.
  • The Pediatric Occupational Therapist actively participates in the growth and development of their Department/Clinic including quality management.
  • At Northeast Rehab our focus is on quality patient care. Our treatment model is driven by outcomes, best practices and mentorship. All of our appointments are 1:1 for 40 minutes.

Qualifications

  • Meets qualifications of a licensed PT/OT/SLP/CF-SLP
  • Inpatient Therapists must be licensed in NH.
  • Outpatient Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Outpatient Speech Therapists must be licensed in their state of hire and eligible for licensure in alternate state (license to be obtained within 3 months of hire).
  • Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
  • Outpatient Therapy: the therapist is required to work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by regional outpatient directors.
  • Inpatient Therapy: the therapist is required to work on the holiday and weekend rotation as indicated by staffing levels.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands of the job are as follows:

  • Frequent pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount.
  • Occasional pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount (PT, PTA, OT & COTA only).
  • Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling talking hearing and seeing.
  • Perform maximal assist/dependent transfers as necessary.
