About the Role
U District Bouldering Project is currently looking for a Facilities Care Specialist, who's responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and presentable facility at each Bouldering Project. Facilities Care Specialists are an integral part of the in-house management and maintenance of the building's environment at the local facility level and are primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the facility. These staff members have direct impact on the experience of every individual that walks through the door, from a first impression of the space to a lasting experience, these staff help create a welcoming and healthy environment.
General Responsibilities
Cleaning
- Performs regular cleaning duties including but not limited to taking out trash, high dusting, mopping of restroom and shower floors, regular cleaning of member facing areas and back of house spaces, ensuring that all custodial related assignments are completed as assigned by the Manager of Facilities.
- Restock and resupply of disposables (e.g. soap and paper towels)
- Maintains the cold plunge and sauna through daily, weekly, and quarterly check-lists and cleaning schedules
- Maintains a clean, organized, and presentable facility
- Performs regular facility walkthroughs, immediately remedying instances in need of attention

- Ability to work at heights on ladders up to 20ft
- Ability to frequently lift and carry upwards of 30lbs

This role is for 8-12 hours a week between 3:00pm-7:00pm Monday through Thursday and 6:45am-10:45am on weekends, working either two or 3 days a week, with the opportunity to cover shifts.
