Position Summary
The Night Shift Foreman role will provide the servant leadership mindset and oversight needed to maintain safe workflow and quality decision making support across all departments, providing a collaborative leadership presence that works in partnership with first-shift leadership.
Hours and Location:
This position is located in our Spring Grove manufacturing plant and is a 2nd/3rd shift position averaging 10-hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and coordination of the overnight production team across the entire plant including sawing, forging, heat treating, machining, and testing department.
- Provide clear instruction and leadership to Leads, operators, technicians, and employees to maintain a safe environment, quality execution along with an efficient flow.
- Work closely with HR and the team on the floor to support operational excellence, continuous improvement and re-enforce company policies including safety, HR compliance, quality, and attendance.
- Direct the team on the floor in emergency and unplanned situations and exceptions.
- Facilitate cross-departmental problem solving as the needs arise.
- Develop soft skills and competencies of supervisors, team leads and aspiring leaders, creating deep “ready now / ready next” leadership bench strength.
- Conduct end-of-shift reports and effectively pass along critical information to incoming supervisors and managers
- Communicate effectively with maintenance and day shift leadership regarding any ongoing equipment or tooling issues.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum associate’s degree in Business, Industrial Manufacturing, or Engineering related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience in metals environment.
- 5 years prior leadership experience in a supervisory or lead role on a production floor.
- Ability to make decisions independently and manage a team with limited oversight during off-hours.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process documentation, and inspection criteria.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, production tracking tools, and intermediate computer skills.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, raw material grades and low volume /high mix, material flow.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (75% of the day) in shop environments including hot and loud areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate forklifts, hoists, or overhead cranes as needed.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE including hearing and eye protection, heat-resistant gear, and steel-toed footwear.
The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
