Position Summary

The Mill Glass Technician is responsible for preparing fiberglass materials and kits used in the boat manufacturing process. This role ensures materials are accurately cut, organized, and delivered to production while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate patterns, tools, and required materials.
• Follow pattern instructions to trace, cut, box, and deliver fiberglass materials.
• Operate cutting equipment safely while following all safety requirements.
• Ensure glass kits are completed accurately and meet quality standards.
• Perform material counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Operate cutting systems from pattern selection through final identification.
• Maximize material usage through proper nesting and cutting techniques.
• Complete required department documentation and quality checks.
• Identify and communicate safety, quality, and process improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with teammates and other departments to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate hand, battery, and pneumatic tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality materials.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a hot, humid, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Schedule

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Overtime may be required based on production needs.
