Job Description

The Sales Consultant is responsible for selling and leasing vehicles while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role focuses on building lasting customer relationships, driving satisfaction and retention, and achieving dealership goals for sales volume and gross profit. By understanding customer needs, effectively executing the sales process, and promoting the dealership and its products, the Sales Consultant plays a key role in maximizing vehicle sales while providing outstanding service and care at every stage of the customer journey.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Close a minimum of 10 vehicles per month, 30 vehicles per quarter.
  • Always represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Collect relevant and required consumer contact data.
  • Service all allocated sales inquiries in a prompt and effective fashion.
  • Maintain a level of dialogue with all consumers that leave without purchasing.
  • Generate and maintain a client base.
  • Provide Sales Management with a daily work plan.
  • Maintain familiarity with respective inventory.
  • Achieve a pre-determined level of Minimum Acceptance Performance (MAP) each calendar month.
  • Assist clients by providing information, answering questions, obtaining vehicles requested by clients.
  • Look, act, sound and represent the company in a manner of professionalism.
  • Collect and record customer names, residential and/or business and e-mail addresses, landline and mobile telephone numbers and scan driver’s license in a non-intrusive fashion.
  • Record all customer contacts in the current customer database.
  • Protect and preserve the integrity of the company in the promotion and retailing of new and/or pre-owned motor vehicles through the process and guidelines established by the dealership.
  • Utilize the following Fundamentals Skills
  • Provide prompt, efficient and quality service to the customers and dealership.
  • Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles.
  • Present self as a positive role model by demonstrating commitment to the department, customers, dealership and company.
  • Listen actively to understand others completely.
  • Manage Demanding Situations
  • Resolve all disputes and difficulties with professionalism and composure.
  • Prioritize work to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping credit and client information confidential.
  • Attend sales meetings and training classes as directed by management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to deliver a premium Mercedes-Benz customer experience
  • Positive, high-energy attitude with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and high integrity
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results driven
  • Excellent communication, listening, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking and time-management abilities
  • Coachable, process-oriented, and able to follow established policies and procedures
  • Technologically proficient, including dealership systems, computers, and digital devices
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Flexible schedule availability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Dealership sales: 2 years (Required)
