Retail Store Clerk at Martin Wine Cellar – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Martin's is seeking a Store Clerk. Flexible hours and no late nights. Availability on weekends is required. We will work with college students and their schedules.

Store Clerk Responsibilities:

• Managing transactions using a cash register
• Verifying customer age for alcohol purchases
• Bagging purchased goods and assisting customers with carry-outs
• Stocking and fronting shelves
• Assisting with incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Providing customer assistance by phone and in person
• Assisting with custom gift wrapping
• Maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of the store

Store Clerk Requirements:

• High school degree and one year retail or stocker experience preferred
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry wine/liquor boxes (approximately 40 pounds)
• Louisiana ATC-approved Responsible Vendor Card (may be obtained after hire)
