Job Description

OVERVIEW

Maintains data and payments to accounts payable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, verify, and process vendor invoices for multiple entities in accounting system on a timely basis
  • Promptly communicate, follow-up and resolve open issues with functional area purchasing
  • Resolve payment disputes
  • Maintain accurate filing systems
  • Maintain new customer setup
  • Process payments/checks
  • Support month end process, including account reconciliations
  • Continuously improve upon the existing process
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred – Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience; or

· Four years related experience and/or training; or

· Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel);
  • Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience a plus
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills for interfacing with associates and suppliers
  • Exceptional planning, time management and organizational abilities
  • Team player with aptitude to grow with the organization
