We're placing a Level B Physical/Chemical Operator with a private environmental services company in Aiken, SC. This is a direct hire role with a straightforward Monday through Friday day schedule and pay starting at $28 an hour or more depending on your experience. You will work for the client from day one, no temporary wait to get hire on permanent.

A Day in This Role

You'll be trusted to run physical/chemical treatment systems, catch problems before they escalate, and keep the plant operating efficiently and in compliance. No micromanagement - just ownership of your work.

• Operating and maintaining physical/chemical wastewater treatment systems within permit limits
• Monitoring and troubleshooting pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, and chemical feed systems
• Independently adjusting chemical feed and treatment equipment to optimize performance
• Performing sampling, testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Completing operational logs, discharge monitoring reports, and compliance documentation
• Collaborating with plant leadership to improve plant efficiency and reliability
• Handling occasional off-hours or weekend response when operational needs arise
• Maintaining accurate operational data in plant monitoring systems

You're a Strong Fit If…

You've been doing wastewater operations, likely in a municipal or government facility, and you're ready for a move that reflects your skill level. Your SC Level B license says you know the work.

Required:

• SC Level B Physical/Chemical Operator License
• At least 1+ year of wastewater operations experience
• Strong understanding of physical/chemical treatment processes
• Ability to troubleshoot systems without hand-holding
• Basic computer and reporting system skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment

Even Better If You Have:

• Industrial wastewater treatment experience
• Regulatory inspection and environmental compliance familiarity
• Experience with SCADA or plant monitoring systems

Schedule and Pay

• 1st Shift | Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Pay: $28.00+/hour depending on experience
