About This Position
The Hotel Indigo-Williamsburg - Brooklyn is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of House Attendant at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills, a strong proficiency in multi-tasking. Your attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for every guest.
Responsibilities:
- Support housekeeping team by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to guest rooms and storage areas
- Maintain cleanliness in guest corridors, stairwells, elevators, and public areas
- Remove trash and used linens from guest rooms and housekeeping carts
- Assist with setting up and breaking down housekeeping closets and carts
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate department
- Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently, ensuring satisfaction
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in all areas of responsibility
- Help create a warm, welcoming environment through cleanliness and professionalism

Requirements
- Experience in housekeeping or hotel operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work within established cleaning procedures.
- Previous experience in a hotel environment preferred
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
- Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates
- Additional language ability preferred
- CPR and first aid training preferred
