Paradigm is seeking a Clinical Preceptor. The Clinical Preceptor holds accountability for supporting Network Manager (NWM) and Business Contact (BC) role development and integration into the Paradigm culture and clinical practice environment. The Clinical Preceptor functions as a clinical practice subject matter expert and mentor in guiding and directing the clinical practice activities of new team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Preceptor serves as a clinical subject matter expert and mentor, supporting the development and integration of Network Managers (NWM) and Business Contacts (BC) into Paradigm’s culture and clinical practice.
- This role utilizes Paradigm’s standard precepting tools and processes to guide preceptees in meeting role expectations, clinical objectives, and quality standards.
- Responsibilities include overseeing preceptee clinical activities, call participation, and documentation; facilitating catastrophic cases; and ensuring compliance with billing, reporting timelines, QA metrics, and customer feedback standards.
- The Clinical Preceptor provides virtual and/or in‑person training, plans and structures learning activities, monitors productivity and time management, and delivers ongoing feedback and evaluations.
- Additional duties include documenting performance observations, coordinating shadowing experiences, collaborating with cross‑functional partners, contributing to continuing education content, participating in organizational meetings, and, as needed, managing a limited patient caseload in the NWM role.
Qualifications:
- Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field preferred.
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- Experience managing catastrophic injury; Network Manager (NWM) experience highly preferred.
- CCM certification required.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, catastrophic case management standards, and public and private resources.
- Prior experience mentoring and teaching adult learners required.
- Experience using EDDG required.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and distance learning tools.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, analyze workflows, and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to case management, confidentiality, and jurisdictional regulations.
