About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring a seamless billing experience from the first invoice to the final payment. This role will work at the intersection of finance and customer service, collaborating closely with our sales and operations teams to resolve complex billing inquiries with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and professional flair.

Onsite in Fort Wayne, IN
COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of an hourly rate plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-Cycle AR Administration: Learn and support the generation of invoices, credit memos, and essential account updates.
Account Reconciliation: Handle customer account adjustments and resolve general AR inquiries to ensure our aging report remains clean and accurate.
Billing Advocacy: Research and resolve complex billing concerns and short payments, turning customer inquiries into opportunities for positive relationship building.
Proactive Communication: Maintain a high volume of professional correspondence via phone and email, addressing invoice errors and collection issues in a goal-oriented atmosphere.
System Mastery: Navigate multiple computer systems to research data and provide clear, concise answers to both internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a liaison between the Collectors, Sales, and Billing departments to ensure information flows smoothly and disputes are settled quickly.
Strategic Updates: Provide regular status reports to the Credit Department Leader regarding outstanding account issues and portfolio health.
Team Support: Assist with month-end closing tasks and provide backup support to the collections and sales teams whenever necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE

A minimum of two years of college education OR four years of hands-on experience in an Accounts Receivable department.
Exceptional ability to draft professional business correspondence and communicate clearly via phone.
Proven ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you don't just find a problemyou find the solution.
An enthusiastic, team-first attitude with a willingness to "jump in" and help in all areas of the business as required.
