Responsibilities- Represent clients involved in various transportation related incidents, including auto accidents, tractor/trailer collisions, bus accidents, crane mishaps, dump truck incidents, fatalities, and motor vehicle accidents (MVA)
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel and defense strategies to individuals, businesses, and insurance companies operating within the transportation/trucking industry
- Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, analyze evidence, asses liability, and develop defense strategies tailored to each case's unique circumstances
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings
- Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis on various issues related to transportation and personal injury law
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in case strategy discussions and negotiations
- Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized records
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate litigation/insurance defense
- Strong research and writing skills
- Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Competitive quarterly bonus plan based on monthly billables - ability to earn an additional $52k annually

- Hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office, 2 days/week at home)
- 401k + firm match based on previous year revenue. Historically we have matched 25% up to 6% of the employee contribution

Compensation is commensurate with years of experience/bar admittance date
