As a Legal Account Manager, you will manage strategic client relationships and drive growth initiatives across a portfolio of large legal organizations. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients identify opportunities, adopt innovative solutions, and improve how they deliver legal services.
- Own retention, expansion, and cross-selling strategies across a portfolio of strategic law firm clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including partners, innovation leaders, practice leaders, and executive teams.
- Lead consultative conversations to understand client priorities, business models, workflows, and operational challenges.
- Develop tailored strategies and solution recommendations aligned with customer goals and measurable outcomes.
- Drive adoption of new technologies and approaches within complex legal environments.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Create and deliver executive-level presentations that demonstrate value, return on investment, and business impact.
- Develop customized multi-solution proposals and negotiate offerings that address complex client needs.
- Consistently manage pipeline activity and performance objectives through structured execution and relationship-building.
The ideal candidate combines legal expertise with strong commercial awareness and consulting skills. You should have experience working with law firms, understand the challenges facing modern legal teams, and be comfortable engaging senior decision-makers on topics related to innovation, technology, and business transformation.
- Law degree with 4+ years of experience practicing in a law firm environment with 50+ lawyers.
- Experience in legal innovation, legal operations, knowledge management, practice management, or related areas is an asset.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and support organizational change initiatives.
- Experience contributing to revenue growth, client retention, strategic partnerships, or business development efforts.
- Strong understanding of commercial objectives and ability to guide clients toward effective solutions.
- Familiarity with generative AI concepts and the ability to discuss technology benefits in a client-focused context.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage priorities independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear business value and practical outcomes.
- Competitive compensation package with a base salary range of approximately CAD $85,800–$135,800 depending on location and experience.
