Description:

Universal Banker is a key frontline role responsible for providing comprehensive banking services to both consumer and commercial customers. This position combines teller transactions with relationship-based sales and service, delivering seamless customer experience across all service channels.

The Universal Banker engages customers in meaningful financial conversations, identifies needs, and recommends appropriate bank products and solutions to support financial success. This role also ensures accurate transaction processing while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Deliver exceptional service to both consumer and commercial clients in person and via phone.
  • Build and deepen customer relationships by understanding financial needs and goals.
  • Conduct needs-based conversations and provide tailored banking solutions.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate complex concerns as appropriate.

Transactional & Operational Support

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions accurately.
  • Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Support both routine and complex transactions for consumer and business clients.

Teamwork & Branch Support

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve financial center goals.
  • Support branch operations including opening/closing duties and dual control procedures (e.g., night drop).
  • Contribute to a positive, customer-focused team environment.

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior banking, retail, or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience working with both consumer and small business clients is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of consumer and commercial banking products and services
  • Cash handling and transactional accuracy experience
  • Strong sales,communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in banking systems and digital tools
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
