Job Description
The Senior Account Manager will play a critical leadership role within the account management team, overseeing a group of Account Managers while also managing their own portfolio of key accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring that projects are executed seamlessly from inception to completion, providing direction and training to the account team, and fostering strong relationships between sales, production, and clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong project management skills, capable of driving team performance and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Oversight:
- Serve as the lead Account Manager, providing leadership, guidance, and support to the Account Management team.
- Train, mentor, and provide direction to Account Managers, ensuring they meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Manage performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous growth and development of the team.
- Project & Workflow Management:
- Oversee multiple high-value accounts, managing projects from initiation through design, production, delivery, installation, and invoicing.
- Coordinate with production, sales, and installation teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Develop estimates and detailed project plans, including timelines, costings, and resource allocation.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and act as a key liaison between the Account Management team and the Accounting department.
- Client & Sales Support:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify customer needs and drive new business opportunities.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for escalations and high-level communications.
- Provide regular project updates to both clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project progress and deliverables.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and maintain accurate records for client accounts and project workflows.
- Work closely with the Accounting department to ensure financial accuracy across all projects and accounts.

Essential Knowledge & Experience
- 6-8 years of experience in account management, preferably in the printing or publishing industry.
- Experience managing large-format printing projects is a plus.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education is strongly preferred.
