About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of our luxury residential apartment homes. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, drywall repair, and mechanical system upkeep to maintain property standards and tenant satisfaction. The technician will conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute timely repairs to prevent property deterioration and costly emergency interventions. Collaboration with property management and other maintenance staff is essential to coordinate work orders and prioritize tasks effectively. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to preserving asset value and providing a safe, comfortable environment for occupants through skilled and proactive maintenance services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance work involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety guidelines.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
  • Experience working in the real estate, rental, or property management industry.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Basic computer skills for work order management and reporting.
  • First aid and OSHA safety training certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing fixtures.
  • Conduct precision measuring and layout work to ensure accurate installation and repair of building components.
  • Repair and install drywall, patch holes, and perform finishing work to maintain interior surfaces.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems such as HVAC units, elevators, and other building equipment.
  • Execute carpentry tasks including framing, door and window installation, and cabinetry repairs.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and fixtures in compliance with safety codes.
  • Safely climb ladders and scaffolding to access elevated work areas for inspections and repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and property occupants to understand maintenance needs and provide updates.
