This role is an opportunity to support and enhance employee experiences within a global, remote-first organization.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth people operations processes across the employee and contractor lifecycle.
The position combines operational excellence, employee support, compliance coordination, and process improvement.
You will collaborate with teams across different regions while helping build scalable people programs and efficient workflows.

Your contributions will directly support the effectiveness of people initiatives and the overall employee journey.
As a People Operations Generalist, you will support the execution and continuous improvement of people programs while ensuring accurate administration across employee operations. You will help maintain a seamless employee experience by managing key processes, documentation, systems, and internal initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup, documentation collection, policy acknowledgements, and employee record organization.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee and contractor records, ensuring documentation is complete, accessible, and up to date.
- Assist with benefits administration by maintaining records, supporting employee inquiries, coordinating documentation, and helping ensure compliance with benefit programs.
- Support payroll and benefits-related questions by providing guidance and escalating complex issues when needed.
- Maintain compliance documentation, including registrations, access records, required notices, and employee-related compliance materials.
- Monitor and follow up on compliance tasks, system notifications, deadlines, and outstanding operational requirements.
- Assist with annual compliance activities, employee training coordination, and required workplace initiatives.
- Support employee experience programs, company events, meetings, offsites, and recurring people initiatives.
- Maintain the People Operations calendar and track important deadlines, projects, and operational activities.
- Create and maintain forms, templates, workflows, and process documentation to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement solutions that create more scalable people operations.
- Provide responsive support to employees, managers, contractors, and external partners while maintaining a high level of service.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an organized and service-focused People Operations professional with experience supporting HR processes in a fast-paced environment. You should have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Key qualifications include:
- 3–5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Benefits Administration, Recruiting Operations, Office Operations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance activities, or HR operations.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, organize information, and develop repeatable processes.
- Basic understanding of employee benefits, payroll processes, employment documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with HR systems and workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and project management platforms.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and troubleshoot routine employee and contractor questions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize effectively in a startup or high-growth environment.
