Job Description

Position Title: Co-Op Intern

Company Information:

ARG is the longest continuously operating refinery in North America dating back to 1881. Scope & Responsibilities of Co-Op Intern: (Not limited to)

  • Work directly with purchasing, marketing and HR teams and other administrative teams as needed.
  • Firsthand experience analyzing supplier and spend data, communicating with suppliers, and support of various projects like writing new processes.
  • Assist in marketing, advertising, and promotional activities (e.g., social media, direct mail, and web)
  • Manage and update company databases.
  • Help organize events.
  • Operate basic office equipment (copier, scanner, shredder, etc.) and assist in converting paper files to scanned documents.

Education & Experience for Co-Op Intern:

  • Currently enrolled in high school
  • Administrative experience is preferred.

Other Qualifications of Co-Op Intern:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Intermediate skill level using Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical & Cognitive Demands of Co-Op Intern:

COGNITIVE DEMANDS: Meet deadlines, focus attention, work independently, independent judgments, work with a team, communicating, reading comprehension, critical thinking/troubleshooting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: seeing, speaking, hearing, sitting, walk/climb, stand/reach, listening, writing, driving, keyboarding. Push/pull/lift/carry or otherwise transport 35 pounds.
