General Responsibilities:

  • Provides specialized product, service and/or regulation guidance and training in area of expertise. Responsible for specific tasks within the department, including administering on-the-job training and conducting team and bank-wide training sessions. Assists team leader/supervisor in planning, organizing and coordinating training and functions relating to the operation of the department.
  • Assists with various tasks and services in the daily operations functions to obtain a high degree of accuracy in daily processes. Assumes responsibilities for various projects and other related duties as assigned or directed. Assists in developing effective and efficient processes to maximize resources. Participates in on-going training and education of all rules, regulations and guidance pertaining to the bank’s Deposit Operations requirements. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements. Assists in the development of written policies and procedures to ensure consistency in processes. Assists with maintenance and compliance of DR/Cope procedures. Responsible for complying with the Deposit Operations Hybrid Schedule if a remote work environment is an option.
  • Responsible for assisting team with and responding to inquiries or requests for information; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; coordinating work with the department, as well as with other departments; providing periodic reports; ensuring the department’s compliance with operating policies, regulations and procedures and outside regulatory requirements; communicating with appropriate management and staff; coordinating and implementing procedure changes/updates to meet Deposit Operations and Retail needs.

Support and Service:

  • Provides telephone and email support for customers and branch staff as needed. Provides direct service to the customer as appropriate. Utilizes full range of Bank products and services to effectively maximize the Bank’s relationship with customers; maintains current knowledge of new products; identify product needs of customer to build relationships.
  • Strives to achieve excellent customer service and team work. Participates in creating a positive and supportive work environment and company culture in alignment with the bank’s mission and vision statements.

Essential Duties:

  • Performs various duties to support the Deposit Operations Department functions as follows:
  • Administers IRA program/review of CD and IRA reports and transactions in regard to compliance and tax reporting concerns; provides branch and operational support accordingly.
  • Performs review and maintenance of dormant accounts.
  • Processes subpoenas, tax levies, account garnishments, etc.
  • Processes, reviews, and provides support for Power of Attorney paperwork, trust, court order, and UTMA documentation
  • Provides support for safe deposit box, complex business deposit issues, and deceased customer concerns.
  • Assists in coordinating and reviewing Lawyer Trust accounts (IOLA/IOLTA); prepares monthly remittances and other reports/filings accordingly.
  • Assists in review of IRS reporting including Federal Withholding/Alien, etc.
  • Coordinates/Administrates/Researches Commercial/Misc. Specialized Business & Deposit Products Review process for Business/Customer account setup for complex structures, Commercial Documentation Review
  • Enhanced Account Analysis systemic review and maintenance, works with Business Operations to complete monthly tasks.
  • Daily support for Retail and Sales teams for Commercial Deposit Products, assists in prep of CIF Combination Summary Analysis, Assists in Monthly/Quarterly Operational Risk Reviews
  • 12. Coordinate and Maintain the ICS/CDARS approval/input process

Ancillary Duties:

  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Training: An Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience normally required with specialized bank operations training/education.

Skill(s): Must demonstrate strong communication skills; proficient mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations skills; general knowledge of accounting principles and bank procedures; proficient analytical and problem solving skills; proficient project management skills; proficient time management skills; supervisory skills sufficient to provide guidance and training; proficient PC skills; proficient technical skills including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, One Note and PowerPoint..

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of related experience normally required.
