Field Service Technician in West Jordan, Utah at Quality Electrical Systems

Overview
QES is seeking a skilled Industrial Field Service Electrician with a Journeyman background to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical control systems directly at customer sites.
This is a hands-on, travel-intensive position requiring up to 80% out-of-state travel.

Key Responsibilities
Install, test, and troubleshoot medium-voltage switchgear, control circuitry, and SEL/GE relays.
Program, commission, and troubleshoot Satie control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and Soft-Starts.
Apply standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure safe and efficient resolution of electrical issues.
Provide customer support and on-site commissioning for industrial control systems.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation in every project.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
Proven experience with industrial electrical systems and controls.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and electrical wiring standards.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Willingness to travel 50–80% of the time with flexibility in scheduling.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
