Job Description
Shape the Parts That Build Our Products
We're looking for skilled Press Brake Operators to join our fabrication team on 1st and 2nd shift. In this role, you'll work with both CNC press brakes and advanced automated panel bending technology to produce precision sheet metal components used in high-quality manufactured products. Our fabrication department combines traditional press brake operations with modern panel bending equipment, providing opportunities to develop valuable skills while reducing manual handling on many forming operations.
Whether you're an experienced operator or a fabrication professional looking to expand your skills, you'll have the opportunity to work with modern equipment, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and play a critical role in our manufacturing process.
If you enjoy hands-on work, problem solving, and producing quality parts with precision and consistency, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Operate and support both CNC press brakes and automated panel bending equipment to efficiently produce precision sheet metal components.
- Select and install appropriate punches, dies, and tooling based on production requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Create, modify, and optimize machine programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring equipment.
- Verify dimensions, bend angles, and tolerances using tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools.
- Safely move materials and finished parts using forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvements.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area while following established procedures and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with team members across fabrication, welding, and assembly operations to meet production goals.
Required
- Experience operating or setting up press brakes or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication processes, and material characteristics.
- Understanding of bending and forming principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, inspection sheets, and process documentation.
- Basic math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and layout tools.
- Understanding of machine guarding, pinch points, lockout/tagout principles, and safe operating practices.
Preferred
- Experience creating or editing CNC brake press programs.
- Experience with complex setups and multi-stage forming operations.
- Forklift, crane, and hoist operation experience.
- Manufacturing or fabrication experience in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment.
