This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Student Services Advisor - MMC Online based in the United States.
This role serves as a dedicated point of contact for students throughout their academic journey, from enrollment through successful program completion.
You will help students navigate online learning, academic requirements, progression milestones, and graduation planning.
The position combines proactive advising, relationship management, student engagement, and retention-focused support.
You will work with students across programs such as Healthcare, Business, Information Technology, and Education.
By identifying challenges early and coordinating appropriate resources, you will help students overcome barriers and stay on track academically.

Serve as the primary relationship owner and ongoing point of contact between students and the school, supporting academic success, progression, retention, and post-graduation planning.
Advise students on strategies and skills that support successful online and virtual learning.
Provide accurate and timely guidance regarding academic policies, procedures, expectations, and available resources.
Assess individual academic and personal needs and connect students with appropriate support services and internal resources.
Proactively communicate with students experiencing academic or attendance challenges and develop appropriate corrective actions and support plans.
Monitor student engagement, satisfaction, academic progress, retention, and graduation indicators to identify opportunities for proactive intervention.
Ensure student service activities are performed consistently with departmental policies, procedures, and organizational standards.
Develop academic plans that help students progress through their chosen programs and remain on track for their expected graduation dates.
Communicate with students by phone, email, and other channels regarding academic standing, program requirements, progression, and graduation eligibility.
Provide graduation candidacy information to appropriate campus personnel and audit student schedules to help ensure timely program completion.
Lead retention activities for newly enrolled, continuing, and returning students through proactive outreach, student data analysis, and attendance monitoring.
Analyze student information and engagement trends to identify at-risk students and determine appropriate retention strategies.
Collaborate with Financial Aid to help students understand how changes in enrollment status may affect their financial options and obligations.
Develop and maintain remediation plans related to satisfactory academic progress when appropriate.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of student engagement, advising, and retention best practices.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, particularly in Education, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Previous experience in online or virtual learning, academic advising, student services, or a related student-support environment is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in online or virtual customer service, academic advising, student services, or high-risk account management is preferred.
Knowledge of contemporary instructional and assessment models, methodologies, and educational technology.
Experience analyzing problems, evaluating alternative solutions, anticipating potential outcomes, and implementing appropriate solutions within established objectives.
Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain academic information clearly and empathetically.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with students and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students, priorities, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
Working knowledge of common office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
Familiarity with education technology and platforms such as learning management systems (LMS), CRM systems, and CampusVue is strongly preferred.
Ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports, and other written documentation.
Strong command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and professional written communication.
Ability to remain proactive and student-focused when supporting individuals experiencing academic, attendance, or other challenges.
Ability to spend extended periods working at a computer and sitting at a desk, with reasonable accommodations available where appropriate.
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Full-time hourly position with a stated salary range of $24.55–$25.55 per hour.
