Maintenance Helper – 1st shift in Owasso, Oklahoma at ALLIANCE WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT INC

Alliance Workforce Management is hiring Maintenance Helpers to support daily operations inside a high-volume meat processing facility. This role assists maintenance technicians with equipment upkeep, repairs, and general facility support to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.

The Maintenance Helper provides hands-on support with inspections, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and shop organization. This position is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who enjoy fast-paced industrial environments and working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.

• Conduct routine checks of waste storage areas and assist with wastewater system upkeep.
• Support technicians with preventive maintenance on conveyors, refrigeration units, boilers, and production machinery.
• Perform basic tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing minor components under supervision.
• Transport tools, parts, and equipment to work sites throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work areas.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-safety guidelines.
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and relocation.
• Respond to urgent repair needs and help reduce downtime.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other required safety protocols.
• Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an asset.
• Previous maintenance experience in industrial, food, or meat processing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing and general building maintenance.
• Experience using maintenance or groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable working in cold, wet, and fast-moving production areas.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish helpful but not required.

• Experience in industrial or food-processing maintenance.
• Familiarity with wastewater systems or facility upkeep.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Comfort working around heavy machinery and fast-paced operations.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, 6 AM – 6 PM. Four 12-hour shifts per week (rotating days off). Three scheduled days off weekly + full weekend off every other week
• Cold, wet production environment with exposure to noise, odors, and varying temperatures.
• PPE required: hair/beard nets, rubber-soled shoes, smocks, hearing protection, hard hats.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout long shifts.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if trained).
• Good corrected vision and ability to work safely in noisy environments.

Full-time positions available. Pay is based on experience and skill level.
