Maintenance Helper – 2nd shift in Owasso, Oklahoma at ALLIANCE WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT INC

Alliance Workforce Management is hiring Maintenance Helpers to support a high-volume meat processing facility. This role works closely with maintenance technicians to keep equipment, machinery, and facility systems operating safely and efficiently.

The Maintenance Helper assists with inspections, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and general facility upkeep. This position is ideal for individuals with mechanical interest who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

• Inspect waste storage areas and assist with wastewater system maintenance.
• Support technicians with preventive maintenance on conveyors, refrigeration units, boilers, and production machinery.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing minor parts under supervision.
• Move tools, parts, and equipment to work locations throughout the plant.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work areas.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-safety procedures.
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and relocation.
• Respond to urgent repair needs and help reduce downtime.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other required safety protocols.
• Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an advantage.
• Previous maintenance experience in industrial, food, or meat processing environments preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and general building maintenance.
• Experience using maintenance or groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in cold, wet, and fast-paced production areas.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish helpful but not required.

• Experience in industrial or food-processing maintenance.
• Familiarity with wastewater systems or facility support tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Comfort working around heavy machinery and fast-moving operations.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, 6 PM – 6 AM (four 12-hour shifts). Three scheduled days off weekly + full weekend off every other week
• Cold storage and production environments with exposure to noise, odors, and fluctuating temperatures.
• PPE required: hair/beard nets, rubber-soled shoes, smocks, hearing protection, hard hats.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout long shifts.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if trained).
• Good corrected vision and ability to work safely in noisy environments.
