This senior engineering leadership role owns the technical solution for complex telecom infrastructure projects from initial site evaluation through design, permitting, and construction support. You will lead multidisciplinary A&E activities across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, survey, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines. The role combines technical leadership with client collaboration, external engineering management, and development of standardized design practices. You will help establish scalable engineering capabilities for large-scale turnkey projects while ensuring designs meet technical, regulatory, permitting, and constructability requirements. Success requires strong telecom infrastructure expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Nationwide travel is required, making this an opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to have broad impact across major infrastructure programs.

• Lead ILA/A&E engineering activities from site candidate evaluation through issued-for-construction (IFC) design and construction support.
• Partner with Site Acquisition teams to assess candidate locations for technical feasibility and development requirements.
• Establish engineering standards, including ILA basis of design, standard site configurations, design criteria, and drawing templates.
• Define site requirements covering equipment and shelter layouts, commercial power, backup generation, HVAC, grounding, access, security, utilities, and fiber entrances.
• Coordinate ILA designs with long-haul outside plant (OSP) and fiber engineering requirements.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering requirements across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, survey, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines.
• Develop scopes of work and manage external A&E firms and specialty engineering consultants, including PE-stamped deliverables where required.
• Coordinate commercial power requirements and utility interfaces.
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and ensure solutions comply with client requirements, applicable codes, permitting requirements, and constructability standards.
• Support permitting activities, construction RFIs, field changes, and final as-built documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to internal BIM/CAD designers and engineering resources.
• Support the development of internal engineering capabilities and scalable processes for growing turnkey infrastructure programs.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in telecom/A&E, critical infrastructure, utilities, or a related engineering discipline.
• Direct experience with ILA/regeneration sites, telecom huts or shelters, points of presence (POPs), central offices, data center connectivity, or comparable telecom facilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary A&E design packages from initial development through construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial power systems, generators and ATS, grounding and bonding, HVAC, civil/site development, foundations, and telecom equipment requirements.
• Experience taking projects through design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required when supported by strong telecom A&E leadership experience.
• AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BIM experience preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and financial acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organization, prioritization, accountability, and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and solution-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide.
