Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Product Designer (Admin) in Canada.
This role offers the opportunity to shape one of the most critical yet often underappreciated parts of a large-scale developer platform: the administrative experience. You will design the systems that allow organizations to manage identity, access, billing, policy, and cross-product governance in a cohesive and intuitive way. Your work will directly influence trust, clarity, and operational confidence for millions of developers and enterprise customers. Operating in a remote-first, globally distributed environment, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, security, and leadership teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex administrative workflows feel unified rather than fragmented across multiple surfaces. This is a high-impact design leadership role for someone who thrives in system-level thinking and enjoys solving deeply technical product challenges.
- Own the end-to-end design vision for the Admin Platform, including IAM, billing, settings, policy management, and cross-product administrative workflows.
- Design cohesive, scalable systems that ensure administrators can manage organizations seamlessly across all product surfaces.
- Identify and resolve UX debt across the admin ecosystem, influencing the broader product roadmap and long-term design direction.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define how new features and products integrate into the admin experience in a consistent and scalable way.
- Collaborate with Security, Legal, Sales, and other stakeholders to align on governance, compliance, and enterprise needs.
- Use AI-powered tools to accelerate prototyping, synthesis, and iterative design exploration.
- Mentor and elevate other designers, helping establish best practices and raising the overall design quality across teams.
- Proven experience designing admin, enterprise, or operations-focused systems such as IAM, billing, policy management, audit, or org management tools.
- Strong systems thinking skills with experience designing cross-product experiences and maintaining consistency across complex platforms.
- Background in developer tools, infrastructure, SaaS, or platform products, with strong empathy for technical users.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights from research, telemetry, and stakeholder feedback into clear design direction.
- Strong prototyping skills and comfort with iterative, open-ended design processes.
- Ability to quickly learn complex domains, including emerging technologies such as AI tooling and distributed systems environments.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other designers in a high-impact or staff-level role.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex systems clearly and influence cross-functional teams.
- Competitive salary ranging from $163,450 to $233,500 USD, plus equity participation.
- Fully remote-first work environment with global flexibility.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage and retirement benefits (varies by location).
- Generous paid time off, company holidays, and wellness-focused breaks.
- Parental leave of up to 16 weeks after qualifying employment period.
- Home office setup support and monthly technology stipend.
- Training and professional development budget for courses and conferences.
- Equity ownership and participation in company growth.
- Inclusive, globally distributed culture focused on diversity and collaboration.
