Permitter
Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced Permitter in our Salt Lake City, UT office who will be responsible for the oversight and application of the permitting process.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching and identifying required permits
- Analyzing project details to determine which permits and licenses are necessary based on location and project type.
- Preparing permit applications
- Gathering all necessary documentation, completing application forms, and ensuring accuracy of information submitted to regulatory agencies.
- Submitting applications and tracking status
- Submitting permit applications to relevant authorities and monitoring their progress to ensure timely approvals.
- Liaising with regulatory agencies
- Maintaining communication with permitting officials, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise during the review process.
- Coordinating internal stakeholders
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to gather necessary information for permit applications and ensure compliance.
- Documentation and record keeping
- Maintaining comprehensive records of all permits, applications, correspondence, and inspection reports.
- Fee management
- Calculating and submitting required permit fees to regulatory agencies.
- Other related duties upon request.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of permitting regulations
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting requirements related to construction, land use, environmental protection, etc.
- Invoice review experience
- Familiar with construction cost estimates
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to clarify information and resolve issues.
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Capability to manage complex projects with multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy in documentation and application details.
- Technical skills
- Familiarity with permitting software, online portals, and document management systems.
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to identify potential challenges in the permitting process and develop solutions to overcome obstacles.
Work Environment
- This is an onsite position that requires you to be in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive hourly pay ($29 to $34 per hour based on experience) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
